Default Going to look at an 06 enthusiast tomorrow!

The local dealer has the exact car i want.

an 06 Daytona blue enthusiast with side airbags. Sticker is 30,885 (i think, it's definately 30,8xx).

I'm going to be working a trade with my 04 VW touareg which according to edmunds and kbb is valued at 27.5-28K trade in (condition as good).

How much do you think i should offer over my car??

It seems as many people here are getting there cars for 28K+, so that means i may be less than a grand off which would be great!

You are looking at two transactions. The value of your trade-in is one. The cost of the 350Z is the other.

If the MSRP of the Z is $30,885, offer $28,109.

It's not that hard to sell a car by yourself, and it will probably save you probably at least 3-4k over what the dealer will give you.

The dealer who sold me my Z held onto the car I wanted for a few days until I finalized the transaction of selling my maxima to a private party.

That 3-4k can be used to buy a set of really nice rims, or if you're not into buying rims, you can just pocket it as gas money.

Well if i trade i only pay tax on the difference, plus i get to trade it in stock.

So basically they offered 26K trade in for my car, i could probably get $30K for it privately with the mods. In this sense i come out ahead by trading it in.

I save 2K+ on tax, i can sell my wheels for 2K, and the system for 1K. Hence why i'm even thinking about trading it instead of selling it.

Either way he was giving 26K but would go under 29.5 on his car today. I think he will in time, he just thought i would pay the $3500 today.

I'm going to look at an 04 loaded Touring with 12K miles on tomorrow. There asking 28.5, so i think i'm going to see if i can an even trade on that car. Then sell my mods to mod the Z! I'll keep this thread updated!
