so umm FREE
OR you can have a girlfriend that drives a Z and when your CAR doesn't work or DON'T have a car, maybe she will lend it to you for a couple of days...days turns into weeks, weeks turns into months, and it's yours FOREVER.

I think it's a good rule not to have any bill that costs more than 25% of your total gross income for a month. Really it depends on your other bills, though. What else you paying? Are you renting or do you have a mortgage? Are you single or do you have a wife and kids? Just too many variables to throw out a "at least this much" number.
I have a friend that works as a patient transporter where my occupation is. He said he saved up for about 16 months and put down $20,000 for his Z. I don't know why he did it. He told me something about paying it of in 24 months and still having money for savings and emergencies. Why don't you try that? Save for a year or two and see what you can come up with. Maybe you can get a CLS 500.

I make 32K salary but about 6-10K extra in bonuses per year. I saved for over a year and put down 10K so my payments are only $350 over 4 years for a at the time, two year old touring Z. you have to add up all expenses, like insurance, gas and maintenance though. But I get it done while living alone with an extreme sneaker addiciton.

Let me ask you something. If you save up for a downpayment (large sum or not), and you pay it off within 2 years does that increase your credit rating more than if you pay it off within 48 to 60 months? If thats the case, then I'm seriously going to consider doing that for the next car.

How quickly you pay it off has no affect on your credit rating. What matters is that you actually make the payments and don't miss any.

But the benefit is, if you pay it off earlier, you'll be paying less in interest.
LOL you're the first person to ever pick up on that. On the subaru website (nasioc) i'm BangWRX and no one has ever picked up on that before. I guess Nissan people are smarter than Subaru people...lol.

You should be comftrable spending 850$ a month on a car, gas, payment, insurance, oil, extra money for tires. Tires go fast on the back due to the negative camber. I have a 06 base Z and am putting a built engine in it, so i basically have a 4 month old car with no warranty, but i can do work on cars and have enough money to pay for random repairs if they come up.
