Default Selling car to private buyer.. questions

Hey all, I'm in the process of selling my Z to a guy in another state. He will be paying off my car loan, and the lien holder (Wells Fargo) will be mailing ME the title.

My question is, what can I do to ensure the buyer that I will sign my car over to him once I receive the title? I was thinking of typing something up, but I don't know what to type to make it legitimate and cover all the bases.

Any info/suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks

Is there some sort of sample statement I could use? I need to make sure I write on there everything necessary to make sure "all bases are covered".. if that makes sense.

I will get it notarized as well, thanks for that advice!

I think I found an answer to my own question. I'm goin to use a generic bill of sale http://siy.cars.com/pdf/carscom_bill_of_sale.pdf

Then I will get it notarized here on base.

Yeah, I just went through the same thing selling my last car to get the Z. I had to get the seller to give me a check, I put it in my bank account, got a check in my name, sent it to the lease company, they sent the title to me, I then had to register the title in my own state before I could sign it over to the kid... yeah, he was p*ssed. I just made a generic bill of sale in excel, we both signed it and he was all set. No need for a notary in MA I guess?
