you sir, eheem kid... like others have said should get a civic. youll just end totalling the Z anyways. Sounds like you have little to zero knowledge about the car or cars in general. save us all the typing we'll have to do when you post the thread "i crashed my moms/my 350z". please please please get a civic. when you start making your own $$ in 5-7 years come back to the forum. youll be much wiser by then.

Not yet. I'm going to be getting a used 06 350z enth. or track.. whichever i can find first, in the color Pikes Peak White. I'm waiting on the last payment for the current vehicle that i've somewhat "taken over" which is an IS300, so i can trade this bad boy in. I'll be getting it late Feb. but my cousin owns a Daytona 350z base and i've been helping him with alot of stuff... his Z is the guinea pig so i can perfect mine when i get it. Already bought some mods for it

if i were you i would just not be there when your moms goes to buy the car so the dealership wont screw yall over.... regaurdless even if you're there or not the dealer's gonna know that your moms is buying the car for ya.... even if it wont really be yours untill you turn 18....

damn i wish my parents baught me a car when i was 16... you better treat that car with respect and not get stupid with it.... btw get ready to get flamed by everyone else..... i'd do it but i'm in a good mood and feelin nice... lol

better off gettin a base model man... cuz for some reason the base model e Z are better than the others... i dont know i could be wrong.... only reason i think this is because four of my friends and i have a Z three of them are base and my Z is a touring.... we all have the same performance set up and they all seem to be more powerful than mine even with them driving my car and racing each other....

Power.. all models are basicly the same. But i want a track model so i can get the Brembo's. Thats about it... Enth. model is a maybe for cruise control but it's not like i really need it. So this is my plan Either a brand new 06 BASE or Enth. "if theres no base available" or a used 06 Track. unless if i get a really nice deal on a new track.. but i doubt that

I still dont get it... What's wrong letting the dealer know that the kid is using his mom's money to buy the car, and also putting it under his mom's name? I thought it was the insurance company that mattered

Heres what i think if i was a dealer: If i knew the car was for you.. the first thing that would pop into my head is "this youngster probably doesn't know anything about cars and if i ripped him off and IF he knew it.. he might be to scared or to excited about getting a car and won't say anything." Also, if the mother is buying a car for her kid.. she probably didn't do any research about the 350z so the chances of her knowing a good deal is next to nothing. MSRP $27,000 psshhh.. lets tell her its $35,000..

Thats what i would think... but in the long run, every dealer tries to rip everyone off so you should tell your parents about the MSRP/INVOICE prices and stuff. If your getting a used Z.. you should let them know about all the problems that each year model had and things like thta

EDIT: Oh yea... insurance is on a whole nother ball park. If insurance was cheap to start off with.. everyone would own a $30,000+ car

My $.02 on this whole issue. Someone needs to talk some sense into your mom. Giving a Z to a 16yo kid is like pouring an alcoholic a drink. Not a good idea.

I think before a kid can get a Z he/she must drive a civic for no less than 1 year as a right of passage.

I don't understand why having an alcoholic drink is bad. Vodka mixed with orange juice... thats good stuff!

Like Masterbating for 18 years before you can have sex... then at 21 you get a baby and your life is over... so you pass your KY Jelly to your son...

Seriously, not all young teens are reckless. Now, I don't want to start an argument, but lets just say that I will only speed at places where it is safe to do so, and I won't be under the pressure from my buddies wanting me to speed just to show them what my car's got.
