Hey guys, I'm new to these forums. I used to post at 350zmotoring.com when I had an '04 Z. I sold it for a dodge ram (dont ask why, i have no idea) and I want to get back into a Z. I plan on leasing an '07 Z hopefully in early April. I would like a base Z and know they list around 28k. How much over invoice (which is around 26k) should I purchase the car for? This will be my first time doing the negotiating myself so was hoping for some pointers. Thanks for any help and hopefully I'll be posting a lot here soon after I get the Z.

 

Welcome. You mention leasing. You also mention purchasing. What is it?

 

LOL buy the Z out right man... u should have at least 30 k in your savings... and at least 200 k in your investements...

For 30 k for a Z, thats 2 cheap. theyre about 60 k American dollars here in Australia

 

I wouldnt pay more than $200 over invoice.

 

walk in the dealership knowing what you want to pay..do some research on edmunds.com and they will tell you invoice but be prepared to pay the fees at signing when you get itand make SURE you dont go over the allowed miles you will be screwed! lol
