Do you mean that the dealer is charging $1995 above MSRP for a car in it's fifth model year? That seems crazy. I got my 06 base last June for 2250 below MSRP. I think you need to check out another dealership.

I got a deal for an enthu. 05' for 27k OTD, a Base went for 25k OTD both brand new. Tip: Learn some major bargaining skills and utilize the special phrase: "I'm walking away.... I'm walking away!"

As long as you look like you have no interest, you'll get a great deal

Visit the dealer and say “I will give you $27,784 for this car today.”

Go to edmunds.com and click on your car. Then click on "TMV" or True market value and see what the invoice is. Ignore the part that says "what others are paying". Shoot for invoice price including destination fee. Try to get as close to that as possible.

You are probably referring to an adendum sticker, which is usually next to the window sticker and lists all the adds that vehicle has like wheels locks, paint charges, and all types of fees. It is bull****. Start your negotiation from the window sticker, use the M.S.R.P. and see how low you can get it. The base Z's have about 2k mark on them or a little less. Good luck.

No. Dealers respect two things:

a. Serious buyers.
b. Money now.

The statement takes care of both.
