Extremely good point David...

One that I had myself...

I'm truly questioning if he even had a car for me when he called me last Thursday to tell me that he did...

Cause, what kind of dealer tells someone that the car will be there in 3 days, and then has to tell them another week/week and a half?!?!?

A dealer should know this kind of information...

So much for showing my car off on Mother's Day to the familia...

I would move on to another dealer if you can get your deposit back.

Kinda depends on how bad your car fever is.

It is best to put your needs in writing. A statement such as Vehicle will be delivered on or before blank. If not deposit will be returned in 24 hours. And alternative color would also improve your chances.

I have it in email that it is going to be delivered between this coming friday and next...

I told the dealer that it better be closer to this friday than next friday, cause I'm about ready to get my deposit back and go elsewhere...

I'm just going to wait it out, cause as a fellow poster put it, my "car fever" is pretty bad...

And yeah, other color options would help, but I'm a black car guy and want nothing else... Especially when I'm spending so much on a car, I want it my way and my way only...

This whole experience feels like a bad Christmas... Like when your parents tell you that you can open your presents in the morning, then tell you you have to wait til lunch, and then tell you at lunch you gotta wait til dinner when everybody gets there...

I had a rate of 3.5% (dad cosign) for my used celica a few years ago, I'm also shopping right now and I'm getting some crappy rates for used, probably becuase I'm going in alone and dont have a lot of credit, but I'm getting offers of 10% and 8%. Which are suuuuper high

I was able to get them down to about 6.5%

At first he was like, oh yeah, I got you down to about 7.25 from 7.89

And I was like, well, my bank quoted me 6.5% (kind of a lie, cause I only saw it on the website) and he was like, well your credit score is good enough and u r a member in good standing, we'll go with that...

So I was happy with that...

Just wanted to relay the good news and say thank you to all for your suggestions and insight...
