Default 2003 350Z Touring 25k miles and 36k miles...what should I ask for?

Both dealers are asking for 22,000 for both cars. One is black on black. The other is Chrome Silver on Frost. Both are touring with same options: leather + Bose. The Chrome Silver is the one with the 25k miles, which is a big plus.

I have the black/black down to 20k (I'm gonna' try to push for 19.0), with a 9500 trade-in. I'm going to try to get the same out of the Silver/Frost car - I really want to finance as close as possible to 10k. But I still figured I'd ask, since the books (KBB and NADA) are of little use.

I also figure I'm getting a decent trade-in on my car, they'll be less likely to budge that low. But we shall see...

I would check the Car Fax out on both. Its worth the small investment. Also I have a Blk /Blk Touring '04, my first blk car, and I hate that it gets dirty so quickly. Blk looks great when its freshly washed, but 24 hrs later its got a layer of dust all over it, and you see every spec ! Look at the tires in the front to make sure that there is no signs of feathering. Ask if its a one owner car, and if its had any accidents. Car Fax should be able to tell you alot of these q's actually. Good luck !!! Post pics when you get it.

Heheh, yeah. I know about the quirks with the Zs. And I've checked the Carfaxes on them all, thanks to a friend who has an unlimited account via dealership. I checked the tires on the black/black some weeks ago and they looked great.

I took a look at the silver/frost today and I was not impressed. Somebody got waay too close to a curb and curbed the frigin' front bumper on both sides. Then I noticed that the gas door was a little crooked...and the space between the rear panel and trunk was a wide enough for the tip of my finger to get into. Something doesn't feel right with the car.

And man were the brake rotors rusted beyond hell. On top of that, after saying no to 20k to me, the manager of the dealership then came over and practically threw himself on me to buy the car. I was a little put off.

Oh and lest I forget...when I sat inside the car, I noticed that the seat doesn't move upward. It reclines back, but not forward. Very weird. I pointed it out to them and they took it down to the service dept. immediately. I never even got to drive the car and I wasn't satisfied with it.

Definitely a pass.
