Default Leasing A Z.

I'm in the market to lease a vehicle.(Its A Write Off for me). I've been doing alot of reseraching and narrowed it down to a Z, G37S, s2000. The G is about $5XX a month, Honda is having a deal for $349, and nissan is having a deal for $459. The Z has a lower Cap cost then both the G and the S and the payments are almost as much as the G and higher then the S. Why is the residual of this car so low! What deals have other people on the forum gotten?

It's probably a Nissan-sponsored deal.

In reading this site for a while most people here seem to think that (at least on 350zs) that the lease is a bad deal. Thats why you haven't gotten any posts here yet with lease costs.

Personally I think trying to get a better deal as a lease is just a pain. Its way to easy to get screwed and I realize that the guys I deal with on leases do this stuff every day and I only do it ever few years.

The money factor on a 350Z lease buyrate is about 7-8%. Since you basically get double dipped on bank fees when you lease, and we're looking at expensive cars, payments are high. The inflated residuals of certain cars are really rebates in disguise. 350Z does not have rebates and historically leases out very poorly for those two reasons.
