Question What's a good price for 2003 350Z Touring?

Hello, everyone. I'm in the market for a new 350Z.
I have configured it on the Nissan's main website.
My configurations include:
6-Speed Manual
Side Air Bags & Head Curtains
Floor Mats
Splash Guards
Aluminum Kick Plates
Trunk Mat
Aerodynamics Package

The MSRP came out to be $35,173.
Can I do better than this price by negotiating at the dealers?
Especially when buying a 2003 model, instead of the upcoming 2004 models.
How much did you guys pay with similar configuration?

Few more questions for you 350Z fanatics.

What's the real difference between Track and Touring?
I've noticed that Track version has slightly more stylish body.
Can a Touring version look exactly alike with the aerodynamics package?
Are there any differences in performance?
I've also noticed that more expensive version, Track doesn't offer leather seats. Why don't they offer leather seats?

I'll thank everyone in advance for your help.

Touring has leather seats, Bose audio system, and 6-spoke 18" alloy wheels, track has aerodynamics package (front and rear spolier and some under-the-car wind thingy), bremo brakes and nicer Ray's 7-spoke 18" forged-ally wheels with better tires, too, I think. One isn't better than the other. It just depends on your taste and budget.

Since don't like that stuff, and do like the 17" wheels and cloth seats, I was totally happy to get the Enthusiast! One exception is that I think the Track wheels do look the best, but with the big brakes the unsprung weight is the same, they don't perform any better for street driving, and replacement wheels would cost a lot more.

Default I N V O I C E ! or a couple hundred over!

I'm not sure what the auto market is like in your area, but regardless of the model you get, I wouldn't pay any more than invoice or a couple hundred over! Dealers are going to be looking to unload any 2003s they still have. You are in a prime position to get an excellent deal. A word of caution: While you may be able to get a good deal on a 2003 you may want to spend a couple thousand more and get a 2004. Why you ask? It's been my experience with my touring 2003 that it's had far too many teething (as some have mildly put it) problems. It would be my guess and hope that Nissan has worked these bugs out of the 2004 models. Good luck. Let us know what you end up doing!

First off, I'd like to thank both of you guys for your help!

I've decided to stick with Touring, I can get the aerodynamic package and I can probably find better wheels and tire else where, plus I really want burnt orange leather.

Wow, I wasn't expecting invoice or a little over.
This is good news for me.
What's the invoice on 350Z Touring?
I've checked it on Kelly's Blue Book, www.kbb.com and they gave me $30,358. With my added options, I'm thinking around $31,500. Is this an accurate invoice price?
If it is, I wont go over $32,000!

Most folks here paid MSRP; a few have been 1 to 2 Gs under MSRP.

Price will depend on area, flexibility in color/model, timming, & your negociation skills.

I would not necessiarly wait for an 04 model; I'm sure nissan has been fixing problems as it learns of them in the 03 models and you can get a better price on an 03.

Im 99% sure rays are 6 spoke as well... might be wrong tho. thought 17" were 7 spoke.

anyway, leather seats that are power, and heated. I say that cause you can get leather added to any model for 900$ I think it is. also heated side mirrors. yeah, this is GA, this is not all that important, but well, I live here too, and I had the heated seats on for about the first 3 months I owned the car(nov-feb) might not be as crucial as it would be in the north, but its not like it doesnt get cold.

I also wouldnt say there is no difference in unsprung weight, cause brembo uses a light weight rotor design. and the rims themselves are about 8-10lbs lighter on EACH RIM. thats a big difference. down side is if you damage a track rim, only one place to get em, and they are like a grand each, while a normal aftermarket rays rim is closer to 500.

good luck with your quest.
