Default 08 Z or No?

Hi I am in the market and on the brink of buying an 08 Z but I fear that they wont be many aftermarket mods for the car. I know they are coming out with the 370Z. To be completely honest with you I havent spent a lot of time looking for aftermarekt parts but whenever I do its alway 03-06. I mean the only thing I've found is like the AEM CAI for the 08. I know that there is a different intake setup between the 03-06 and the 07-08 and that is mainly the reason for not finding parts.

Another thing I wanted to inquire about was. Are there any differences in the 03-06 suspension/brake set up verses the 07-08. Or are the suspension parts for an 06 Z good for an 08Z. I plan on tracking the car eventually and i want to make sure I will have choices for mods.

Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

All of the suspension is the same- and there are a bunch of parts available for the hr motor already. Check out www.alteredatmosphere.com I was there at the shop yesterday, they have final drive gears, test pipes, full exhaust, short rams, short shifters, braided clutch lines, oil pan spacer, and the first tt kit that's going to be rolling out of the shop today on a Nismo z. The reflash is only about a week away, as well as pulleys, and fuel upgrade pieces. I would def hit up the 08 my. Plus, who knows how the 09 is going to look in person - I'm not too sure I'm going to like it.

Isn't the 2009 Z the same as the 2008 Z? I'm sure if it was going to be the 370Z they would have had it on the stands in Auto Shows already?

With all the goodies it delivers from the manufacturer, you'll enjoy it for a LONG time! Don't worry 'bout mods, for the time being, dude!!! Not everybody can actually afford an 'O8 Zed. Me? I buy used/depreciated reliable cars, so I
got me an 'O4 Touring Coupe for $2O,5OO, with 13k on it!!! NO feathering problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing that bothers me from what I read in automobile magazine or something else. The new 370Z will start somewhere NORTH of $35K. Where is the justification for that kind of increase? Has Nissan forgotten what Z is for? For that reason, I would recommend you to go for '08, but if you have loads of cash that is a different story, of course.

I assume its due to the inflation of the US currency. If it starts north of $35,000 then they might as well discontinue it because for that price I'd just buy a 1LT Vette Coupe.

I sold my 2004 Z and ordered a 2008 Z despite the release of the 370Z. It's never wise to purchse a car in the first production year IMHO, plus the HR offers enough performance for me.

Next spring when the 370s come out, the 08 Z's will be going for the cheap right?
