Well I bought a 2007 enthusiast with 4800 miles on the clock. No money down, 5.99 APR and a monthly payment of 336.40.

You got an ok deal ($1000 or $0 down ftw) on a
base model. If you're a first time leasor then you
did fine. If you're 35 then not so much.

(shrug.)

Not to be harsh or anything, but why are you asking this now? The deal is done.

Why lease? With what you put down, you could of got a used 08 and paid like $15 more a month. Why rent something that you love and then have to hand it over after 3 years(and get nothing in return)?

Assuming you used the Nissan NMAC bank, that's actually about as good a deal as you could hope to get...enjoy the car.

You are actually going to be ahead of all these clowns with 72 and 84 month loans with low payments...the only thing they'll "own" in 3 years is negative equity...esp. with new bodystyle due.

those numbers don't add up....336 / month with 5.99% is about $17000 financed over 60 months. I don't think you got an 07 enthusiast for 17K OTD, so there is something being left out here.

Your right, I did it for 84 months through USAA, then my first payment came around and I paid them 10k even. Leaving my principle roughly around 14400 and ahead 12 months on payments. Thats how I pay on all my cars, Ill now save another 10k over the next 12 months since I don't have to send in any car payments. Pay the bank another 10k, leaving about 5500 hundred on the car and then Ill let the regular payments do the rest to build credit. Cause strong credit with a lender takes over 36 months. I have always paid my vehicles off under 4 years, the small payments are set up in that case I couldnt make ends meet for what ever reason.

340 * 84 mos. will finance about $23-24k off the top of my head. Possibly trade as well?

336 x 60 = 20160 unless i have no idea how car payments work, excluding interest btw.

at 379/mo i would expect the cars stick prices to have been $37,900? should have been $1k down and at the most $310/mo. usually a reasonably monthly lease payment should be 1% of the cars value.

That's right, if you had no interest then 336 / month would get you 20K. Because there is interest, some of that money is going toward paying that, and not towards the car.
