Smile Real Low Loan Rates (from an actual bank... not www.peoplefirst.com)

All:

I saw some postings about people going to www.peoplefirst.com to apply for their low rate loans (5.49% for 60 Month). While it looks good I noticed some small print (for example higher rate for calling in, higher rate for no EFT).

I've used the follow bank for past loans.
It is an actual bank (actually a credit union).
It is located in Gainesville,FL (GO GATORS!)

The banks name is Campus Credit Union

Rates as low as 5.75% for 60 Months (only about $5/Month difference versus www.peoplesfirst.com).

Check them out... I am going to use them...

Electronic Funds Transfer. They pull the cash directly out of your account, no check writing. Which also means you better have the cash in the account!

Just FYI PeopleFirst is owned by Capital One which is a major credit card company/financial institution.

Electronic money transfer is the easiest and most convinient way to pay bills. I would not use anything else. You don't have to worry about paying late. You don't have to purchase postage stamps, writing checks or having payments lost in the mail.

Everybody gets different rates I think based on their situation, I got 4.89 with eloans with electronic transfer and 5.39 without. Just get your best rate and see what the dealer can do to beat it.

I got a 5.49% interest rate from peoplesfirst.com myself..... I'm 24 and have a credit score of 701. I worked my butt off for that score. Never late, always pay.

I applied on a Saturaday night. Got a call Sunday belive it or not saying I was apporved. I liked it.... the check is in the mail and should be here any day now. Can't wait for my Z to come in.... Supposedly September 19th is my delivery date as of a week ago... I hope it comes earlier... That would be GREAT!!!!!

Silverstone Performance............. just waiting to be driven!!!!

Default Lowered Rate

I checked Peoplefirst and it looks like the 37-60 rate has been lowered to 5.24%. I checked the Costco website and the rate is the same now.

Cool

I got approved from PeopleFirst through COSTCO for 4.50% for 36 mos. I also have excellent credit (near 800). It appears COSTCO is a 1/4 point lower across the board.
