$23000. Did you get an enlistment bonus? Lucky bastard. My career field stopped giving them a few years ago. But anyway look into other cars man. So many more options out there than a 350z.
david did you mean college ged cuse im a 06 grad and no its not a bonus thats just the cash ill have saved up cuse my ait is going to be 25 weeks long and in responce to no win what would you recomend ?
Your going to be what ?? E-2 E-3 , and 20 , to 21 years old. Put your money away, and worry about a nice car later on down the road.
No just being a Smart Alex. Your grammar is atrocious. That said come back when you have money for a down payment. And consider that the Army will have you going back and forth to Iraq and Afghanistan. Cant take a car to either.
Trending Topics
Word - based on that alone, I wouldn't even consider buying a car until your time is served and you are out. you have plenty of time to think about it. save up, by the time you're out, you might want something else.
Just a suggestion - if you know your grammar is crummy, take a couple minutes to clean it up so we can understand your post? And then explain how you are going to accumulate that kind of cash in 6 months, 'cause I'm really curious on that.
Other than that, congrats if you get your Z; factor in where you are going to store the store when they ship you off to Afghanistan.....
And regardless of all of that, thanks for serving!

07-08 for less than 20k? not in my area and not something I'd want to spend ALL my money on....
I'd look for a gently used 05 and go from there....I got my 03 in 06, with only 20K miles and one owner.
Don't sweat the no stick experience thing, though these cars can be tough to lern to drive for a newb, I too had never had a stick before the Z and my shifts were flawless within 6 months or 5k miles of practice.
I kind of get where you're coming from, my brother in law just joined the army and before he went away to boot camp he got an 08 750cc bike that sits in the garage

Just a bit of advice Soldier, I would at least talk to the 1SG before making such a big decision. You may have the car but won't be able to enjoy it...because you'll either be: 1) In the giant sandbox; 2) have no money left for gas; 3) have no money to pay for insurance; or a multitude of other reasons.
I didn't know PFCs made that kind of money these days. I really don't think they do looking at the MIL pay charts. Save your money for now. Just my two cents. HOOAH.

As an Air Force E-6, I thank you for your service but I believe you need a bit of advice. As an E-3, you will probably take home about $23K in your first YEAR. I drove an '88 Mustang GT that I bought for $3,000 cash for my first three years of service. I can't tell you how many nice cars I see in the dorm parking lots on the weekends because the owners' whole paycheck goes to payments and insurance and they can't afford to go anywhere. Do yourself a favor and get a cheaper car so you can afford to enjoy life... the food at the chow hall will get old at some point. A Z will be waiting for you after you've payed your dues and put some rank on your shoulders.

The OP should think about what I'm saying a bit.

So to the OP if you do decide to buy, make sure you can still live within your means . But trust me I've been in Japan for over a year now and believe when you're paying on something you can't drive. It gets rough especially when you see the cost of Porsche Cayman S' drop and you want one so bad.
