He is from Canada cars are way more expensive here, thats why lots of us go to the US to buy cars. However it would seem he did take it in the a$$ since 4 years ago i could have got one for the same price he paid 6 months ago.

This is the same exact situation when I first got my Z. I (buyer) applied for a car loan and got approved for the amount (19500). The SELLER still have about 18000 owed. BUYER's BANK pays the LIEN to the SELLER's BANK, and had the LIEN transferred over to the BUYER's name. What ever was left ON THE AMOUNT AGREED was then forwarded to the SELLER's bank account.

MAKE SURE TO VERIFY IT WITH YOUR BANK or which ever institution you had the lien/loan from to make sure that the payment went through.
