Hi, John Gibson
I been looking for another car for almost 2 months now. I have consider E46 M3, G35/G37, 350z/370z, 09+ Civic Si, 08+ Accord, 09+ Camry SE. I wanted something fun, practical, and not to bad on gas so that was where the Civic Si came in. After reading and being on the 8thcivic.com forum I'm not sure if I want to be in the Civic Si or Honda community, I haven't owned a Honda before. I already know the stereo type of owning a Civic and didn't know if I wanted to deal with it. I've have owned Toyota, Acura, and Lexus. I don't really need anything to fast since I have a bike for that, but enough to give me the joy of driving from what I have left of it.
I am thinking of a 350z. Its fast enough, sporty, and seems the cost of owner is not to high. The only thing I am worried about is the two seats only. Now I'm usually the only one in the car or another person, very few times 3. I guess just knowing you have room for more then two is what the problem is. I could go with a G35, pay a little more for luxury and a back seat, maybe a little higher cost in ownership?
I was thinking of picking this 08 350z.

6spd
stock
19,500 miles
$21,700
I wanted navigation so would it be better to get one with stock navigation or just put my own built in navigation unit?
Any inpute would be appreciated
Thanks

No, I just saw the "Buying/Leasing" section that I was not aware of. Should of posted there.
What model?
If a moderator can move this thread to the "Buying/Leasing" section, that would be great.

The 350z is a great car to own. The cost of ownership is WAY lower than the E46 and about the same as the G35. It's practicallity can only be measured by the owner. I don't move a lot of stuff or host more than one passengers so it's fairly practical for me. ... a hockey bag fits in the trunk; nothing more.
The 350z is realiable and not bad on gas. I average about 24mpg and you'll find similiar stories everywhere. You can get one with a nav system or just have one of those portable ones; they serve the same purpose. You'll definatly enjoy it more than a civic, accord or camry.
My favorite part of the Z is it never gets old. Each and every time I drive it, it's enjoyable. Just a daily drive is fun. It's nimble, responsive, and tuns a lot of heads. All of the kids in my class badger me constantly about how much they or their parents like it. (I teach fifth grade; I'm not a high schooler)

that seems like an average deal, maybe a little more on the good side.
Ive had 3 350Zs, and have looked at all the models you mentioned before, literally the same ones. Glad I went with the Z in the end, of 8 cars, only one car (CTSV) has topped owning a Z. That being said, an aftermarket nav system is the way to go. You're going to pay too much for the right to own a OEM nav system, and aftermarket is better anyways. Id recommend a Pioneer AVIC-F series. Amazing system.
Id try to scrape a few bucks off that asking price though to make me truly happy (if i was the one buying)
And to everyone confirming that he hasnt bought it yet, no **** he hasnt
