Default 2003 350z Trade for 2004 525i

Hey guys,

I was recently offered a 2003 350z w/ Performance Enthusiast Package 83k miles +2.5k cash for my 2004 525i (base) manual 81k miles. The reason for his trade is because he is expecting a baby. The car was bought from Tustin Infiniti at 2007 with 52k miles. It has a clean title w/ no accidents and it is his weekend. The clear coat of the bumper is also peeling off. The recent repairs done to the car were camshaft positioning sensors, driver & passenger windows regulator, fuel tank level sensors, clutch set at 65k miles, new battery and alternator and tune-up

Okay so my question is the 350z + money a fair trade for the 525i?
He says the car has Performance Enthusiast Package so is it possible to have both?
If he was selling his car how much would it be going for?

I've used the search button but now I want to hear from you guys that own the Z.

The wife has a similar 5 series to that. Haven't looked at pricing rEcently, but I think he still needs a bit more cash on his end

If you wanted to trade for a Z, I'd go for one with an HR motor at least (2007+). If I was buying a 2003 I would want it to be nearly mint condition and low mileage, almost like a collectors' item. No way I would trade a nice bimmer for a ragtag street-parked beater Z.

No deal IMO.
