Good buy on a 2003 350z?
Hello im looking to buy my first 350z and am wondering if this sounds like a good deal for $8500. 108K miles, JWT stage 3 Clutch and Fly, Injen Exhaust, Invidia Test pipes, 18" wheels. It has 2007 bi xenon headlights, and 2007 led tail lights. It's basically a 2003 Touring with a 2006+ interior exterior. 15% tint. Fresh sythetic oil change.

Clean or salvaged tittle? If Salvaged, where was it hit
And also profile the seller.
He has a stage 3 clutch, theres no need for a stage 3 clutch if your casually driving everyday...agreed? So be careful, as he might of beat it up or constantly keeping it at high revs and abusing it n all that

sounds like a good buy.... Cars clean too! As you drive your car youll learn to hear anything that sounds abnormal like ticking, squeaks, rattles etc. if shes all sound to you after a few weeks of driving then thats a GREAT buy man ! best of luck and welcome to the club

1. Have a mechanic or a Nissan Dealer check it out.
2. Carfax
3. Once they are completed and all good, then take a nice cruise with it, using all gears, cruise, etc. to get a good feel. Then you will know your decision. Price is very good if in good condition after checks of #1 and #2 are both good returns.
3. Don't worry about jwt clutch/flywheel. It's the Heavy Duty Clutch/Flywheel Combo probably, as that is what they make. I did the same and I did't have no FI. I did all little at a time. Got the NISMO Headers, Catback Exhaust, and Cold Air Intake next. It was a few years later I went FI and did a lot more modding. Modding is good long as it done correctly, by the experts and maintenance kept up properly. I bought the 2003 Track Model Z new in 2003 and now have 20,700 miles total on it. I will never turn back. I had a 280Z and modded it, and it was a great car, and so is the 350Z modded.

Make sure when you test drive it, you test drive it. Don't take it for a five minute spin and then hand over the cash. Drive it. Let it get warm. Get in and out of every gear a few dozen times. A lot of issues in these cars won't show up until they are at operating temperature. Synchro grind is a prime example, you might drive it for 5 minutes and never get the grind because in a lot of cars it can be a random thing and not consistent. Go through all the gears at a stop with the clutch held in and listen for clunking or jerking.
Common sense is really all you need, and if you aren't very mechanically inclined, take someone who truly is. Worth it.
