Default Opinions please!

I am getting close to pulling the trigger and joining the z community. I have been searching all over to find exactly what i am looking for. Needing opinions on this zr. It seems like a great deal but I have a few concerns. The after market taillights really bother me. It makes me kind of think it was wrecked and they chose these cheap ones to replace OEM. Please let me know what you think. It would be great if someone could run the vin and let me know what they find. I know it isn't free, but if someone has the unlimited carfax deal please help a fella out. Here is the link and let me know what you think.

Thank you,
Anthony

I'm vomiting as I type this. "Special Edition" plaque? Chromed OEM wheels? Painted grille? Ricer tails? eBay rear spoiler? WTF are those side mirrors? Not a GT, either.

Please move on.

I don't know how I didn't even notice the hideous mirrors. You prett much summed up all of my concerns. Well I do appreciate another set of eyes cause I thought the "special edition" badging didn't make sense. The grill threw me off as well. On to the next one, if anybody knows of a good hr for under 15k please send the info my way.

I'm not sure how I didn't see all the signs. But very relieved those things were pointed out to me. I'm not completely sold on the ZR, I do know I want an HR as close to stock as possible.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

Regardless of which car you get, don't buy a modded one.

I know searching is not that hard. I check autotrade daily to see what's out there. But not every car for is always posted on there. I use autotempest.com as well, But word of mouth is a great tool also. I know in my price range they are higher mileage. It will be a daily driver for a year and then it will be my project vehicle. So higher mileage isn't a great concern.

https://my350z.com/forum/cars-for-sa...-black-ny.html looks like a great deal if you want a manual

https://my350z.com/forum/cars-for-sa...s-9-000-a.html if you want an automatic.

I've seen that black one, it is a beautiful car. I'm keeping that one at the top of my list. I'm trying to hold off and find one with brembos. And yes it has to be a 6 speed. I'm still searching because I have to sell my current vehicle first. So who knows when I will actually be able to get it. I do greatly appreciate the replies.

Not trying to downplay the brembos as I wish I had them, but the HR brakes are much better than the DE brakes. I remember people posting on here that the HR brakes have the same stopping distance as the brembos. Only difference is fade when racing.

I would get a good car and add the brembos if you have to, and as stated the newer brakes are much better than my stockers.

Brembos arent a deal breaker, it would just be an additional bonus on the car. I think the coupes look great, but i do like the look of the ZR with the top down. Im most likely going to be getting an ZR over coupe. But the ZR on my link is for sure a no go. The cosmetic stuff i could change if the price is right. But the type of person that would make changes like that probably dosent care for their vehicle very well.
