Ive been following this guys ads and its gone down from 6500 to 5k even. Hes a few hurs from me so jsut trying to do my homework and see what I should be looking out for. I asked him straight up as it will be a autox and weekend car for me, and he says mechanically it drives and feels great. He is also the original owner..
Seems to be pretty cheap / good deal maybe. Do you have any pictures? What trim is it? How do other Z's price in that / your area? Also, make sure to test drive it if you're that interested.
He just sent these...in my area most cars this age are rebuilt/salvaged...So the clean title is a big deal to me, and no mods it looks like. The wheels are awful but that can all be changed in time.
and the 5k Z is now a reality.... where is the car if it a couple hours away
interior looks good, engine bay dirty as hell
Sad isn't it?
Agreed, the engine bay is extremely dirty, also it might just be the picture but the top portion of the interior looks good. Not sure what the part is called but where the AC controls and shift boot are looks like it was repainted black and looks a little grody. All-in-all for 5k it does not look like a bad car.
I would suggest attempting to get a car fax, or any other info you can. TEST DRIVE IT NO MATTER WHAT.
The right rear is pretty curbed up. They sprayed the front fascia fins also. If it was my $ I'd get 2 pieces of white posterboard to ck for engine / tranny leaks. If good, go for it.
Oil pressure gauge/sender looks broken. Voltage gauge shows car off and oil gauge almost maxed out
Also, make sure you get the color code he used if you're buying it.

This Z looks like it was wrecked. Front bumper has been painted and the hood doesn't look like it closes right. Large gap on the sides but looks closed from the front.

You're right, I didn't read. I scanned quickly. But what body shop can't fix that? I'm surprised that he accepted it back that way, since he is the original owner.
