New Tranny - Loaner Car and downtime?
For those of you that had to get a new transmission...
Did the dealer offer you a loaner car or did you have to find your own way around?
And how long was your car in the shop for?
Thanks in advance
Roy
Oh and if anyone is in Boston - can you tell me what dealership you got or didn't get the loaner from?

My car is going into the dealer tomoorow morning to due to my gears grinding in 3rd and 6th. The dealer experienced it, but mentioned they may replace the syncro's.
Luckily I'm getting a loaner car. It will probably be a POS Sentra but I won't complain

My tranny swap took six hours. They had to order the new tranny, which took one week, but didn't keep the car during that time. I took it back to them the day after they got the tranny in, and they changed it in six hours even though they new I was going to be out of town until the next day.
cusdaddy...as far as i know...the dealer cannot do anything to the internals of the tranny. as a matter of fact, in the service manual it states "any internal failure with the transmission will result in a replacement of the transmission". make sure they don't screw you.
