Test drove a Black Touring edition on Wednesday night and really loved the car. This is technically going to be my wife's car, but I'll drive it more than her since we commute together. We have been drag racing at the local track this year with her driving the 2003 Monte Carlo SS. Basically she runs 16.0 @ 86. I have a 2003 Ford Lightning running a best of 12.795 @ 108.

Bottom line is she is tired of running a 16 second car, so we've been looking for something different. We have fallen in love with the Z and located the color and options we wanted. The dealer is about 50 miles away and we are going to deal on the car tomorrow morning.

Getting rid of the Monte? (good move)

 

I hear ya. I've always had fast trucks - on my 2nd Lightning and I had a supercharged Harley F150 thrown in there too. I used to work for Enterprise Rent-A-Car which owns a local Chevy dealer.

This will be our first "foreign" car (besides the Canadian built Lightning and the Mexican assembled Monte Carlo)
