I want to wash my Z and give it some Zaino, but I have read that you shouldn't have any kind of wax/polymer on the car before the 3M clear bra is applied. However, I won't be able to get the clear bra installed for a couple of weeks.

First, is it true that you cannot use any wax before having 3M applied? And second, how far should/can I go as far as cleaning the car during the next couple of weeks while I wait for 3M?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Yes it is true because it wont adhere properly, the installer should clean the area first anyway removing any wax that might be on it, I had done the Klasse all in one before the clear bra because I didn't know I was going to do the clear bra at the time.

So if you want go ahead and wax, if it is two weeks or more it wont hurt, if it in a few days you just waisted your time that is all.

 

i wouldn't worry about waxing, as it is easily removed with alcohol/water. but you mentioned zaino which is a little more stubborn. if you know you will be doing 3m in a few weeks i would do a quick coat of wax to protect in the meantime, and save the zaino for after the clear bra is on.
