Default Blackfire + Bird Poop

last night i had part of my worst nitemare come true... i had my brand new SB 35th parked outside my gfs house and a fawkin bird pooped on it at night.. dont birds sleep??? it was probably on my car for 3-4 hours... i removed it right away with some tissue (didnt have any microfiber around)... i was amazed when it slid right off... i did the the 3 step blackfire treatment the week before (wash, polish, sealant) and i guess it was good enough to let the bird crap slid right off my car.. however i saw a mark on the paint so i thought the crap had done its damage and etched the paint on my car.

when i got home, i wiped the areas the bird crap was on with a mf towel and some water and wat do u know? no mark at all =)... i heard horror stories of bird crap discoloring black paint in less than 3 hours of exposure so i was expecting a mark there... i guess the blackfire protectant did its job =)... im not sure how effective it wouldve been had the bird crap been baked on there in the sunlight though...

im just really glad i put on the Blackfire before my car got crapped on...

yeah I had the same thing happen at a picnic one time. The only difference my car was out in the SUN!! I didn't get to see until I got home about 3 hours later. It left a mark which looked like the clear coat was chewed up. but after a few applications of a quick detailer.. it was clean as a whistle. and this is about 4 months after my initial applications. BF all teh win!

bird poop is water soluble... better to just douche it with water than dry wipe with tissue.
