Default Does claying remove Zaino?

I do not want to remove my Zaino - just checking whether using clay removes any Zaino layer.

Should I use clay each time before layering Zaino?

Yes, claying will remove your layers.

Actually you should remove all wax prior to claying anyway by washing with Dawn dish soap.

Once you use the Claybar you're prety much done as long as you maintain you wax.

You may want to clay again in a year or 2 but I doubt it.

Light claying will NOT remove Zaino. I just did my Z about two weeks ago and I couldn't tell that any Zaino had been removed.

Unless you have some serious overspray on your Z, I doubt you will need to claybar hard enough to remove any coatings you have on your car.

I'm sure if you used too much pressure when claybarring, you would strip some of it off but you'd also be scratching the surface.

If you have Zaino on your car, then there is no "wax" to remove so you don't need to Dawn it, just wash with Z-7 as usual.

Claying is something you only need to do every couple of years or if you're trying to remove a problem such was water marks, overspray, bug or bird mess, etc.

Take a look at this old thread. It really doesn't seem to remove the Zaino layers. At least not all of them!

One claying will not remove all your Zaino, after claying you will notice that your paint will still bead water even without putting on another coat of Z-2 or Z-5.

Good to know. I must say I am surprised that claying doesn't remove layers. I'd also think claying would work better with no wax on the car. I trust the Zaino Master though.
