Default Why Me???

It seems i've been having the worst luck with this car...and i've only had it for 7months...not even 6k miles on her!!! Anyhow, to make a long story short, i was pulling in to my garage tonight and i was trying to avoid hitting my brothers 240SX (thats in the process of being an S15 Silvia) when i hear a swoooosh!!! I look at the side mirrors and notice that i was rubbing against a tall paper garbage bag used to hold grass, mulch, etc... I didn't think to much of it, then i finally parked and got out to see the damage...and now, i have a few very light scratches on the driver side door and rear quarter of the car! Can anyone please tell me what i should do? They are not really that bad, but I want to know if I can get rid of them forever!!! Thankz!!

We either need some pictures or more details. Does your fingernail catch the scratches? Does it just look like something rubbed the paint? Does it look like it tore the clearcoat but did not go to the clearcoat? Do you see primer? Do you see metal?

They are not deep at all...they are like on the surface of the clearcoat. I think they went away...just tried some Mequire's wax and looks like they are gone!!!

If you used a cleaner wax that is probably why they went away. If they come back just hit them with a very mild abrasive to get rid of them permanently.

Could you recomend a good mild abrasive, I have a few light scratches I want gone. I tried the Meguires 3 step wax, bu they are still there. I can barely feel them with my fingernail.
Thanx,
