Takao,

I am your man to represent the South (I live near Atlanta) for a detailed, honest review of Crystalguard Quick. Although I do not write professionaly for a living, my mother was a college english professor, so I have always been taught/forced to write and speak well.

If you choose me as a monitor, I promise to present a fair and comprehensive review of this interesting new product.

Thanks for your time...

As a user of many fine waxes, polishes, and sealants on many fine automobiles (no, not as fine as most of yours, Tako ) I would love the opportunity to try yours out. I will be honest and forth coming with my results and opinions, so if this is a ploy to think that a free bottle of product guarantees a biased review you may want to look elsewhere. Trust me when I say I have been waxing and buffing since the tender age of 10! My dad bought a bottle of expensive ($20 at the time in '87) wax called Liquid Glass at a car show. Ever since then I have been a connoisseur of fine car products. As far as my writing goes, I am an engineer, so it is a bit technical. However, I am published (second author) in a couple scientific journals for molecular biology / electro-physiology research work I did while I was a student at Vandy. Oh, and who can for get my name and quote in the September issue of Automobile Magazine dealing with the number one hottest cars of 2003, the 350Z.

If you don’t want me to be one of the 10, I would still love the opportunity to try your product. Either way I would have one request. Would you please tell us the entire process from starting from new virgin paint and from paint that may or may not have other sealants / polishes on them. There are always worries that I can do more damage than good when trying something new.

Questions:

Can Crystal Guard be removed? Such as if ever washing the car with a strong soap?

Is it safe to wax and use other detailing products over Crystal Guard?

How often do you have to seal the car with crystal guard?

I would be pleased to offer my in depth opinion. My writing samples are however confidential. I work for the government and have not made any comparative essays public. I have a degree in Pharmacy *I do understand the chemistry* and currently work for the Patent and Trademark Office *I see the state of the art in chemisty..etc*.

Choose me or do not choose me. In any event, I have contacted the California Dealer/Distributer of Crystal Guard *Chris* and on Monday will arrange for my own shipment of the product. Will post my findings with or without your blessing.

It looks like you already have a considerable pool of volunteers, however; I would love to be considered as a candidate "Monitor".

My 350 is a chrome-silver with less than 2K miles. To avoid getting swirls from uncaring hands I have used my own power washer.

The car is washed every 5 days to prevent any road grime from building up. Every wash is done without touching the car. To dry, I use a heavy duty shop vac and blow the water off. It sounds crazy but is very effective. Afterwards, a towel is gently draped across the car prior to waxing.

With this process it has been possible to avoid any swirls on my paint. Plus I never drive the car if rain is in the forecast.

Obviously if someone volunteers straight from the showroom floor they would be a better "monitor".

If you still have an opening for your "Monitor" for the CrystalGuard, i'd like to try.

I've been running www.MaximaDriver.com for the past three years, and have a little knack for reviewing and writing articles.

Is it possible for me to do it? i'd love to try something that will at least protect my orange peel.

Thanks

Cheston

Default So what is the conclusion?

Hello,

Were 10 people found for reviews/samples?

If so I would think the original poster should fill us in an update the thread.

I am interested in this product, would even consider buying it, *if* I knew how much it cost so I could price compare with the competitors.

I would also accept a free sample and write up a good review on my Daytona Blue Z if the 10 monitors have not been chosen. I would post before/after pics too. My car has 700 miles on it and has been hand washed only (just once!) I am deciding on what sealant process to use still.

I have before and after details of my previously owned FireHawk for comparison (at my website.)

I live in Northern California where it seems Zaino is King so this area would be a good test bed. My city alone has over a dozen respected (legitimate) Car Clubs and I am an active member of two of them.

Default teflon

I've been detailing cars for years and I remember DuPont, the paint and teflon experts, saying that adding Teflon to any paint products is just a gimick and for Teflon to actually bond to anything you need over 1000 degree heat.

You would think DuPont, who makes an excellent Paints and Paint Care products would be using it in their products if it was really worth it.

Question Hello?

Just curiuos,

Is this thread just advertiement
I am interested but I reiterate
that I don't buy products that do not list prices so I can compare.

Has anyone been contacted to be one of the "10 monitors?"

I ask because it's raining here now in California and I want to get my protectant on ASAP. Yet there has been no feedback/update on this product.

Am I safe using Mguires (sp?) Steps 1, 2 and 3 (the expensive liquid wax) for now till I decide what sealant/protectant to use?

My thoughts are to wash, clay bar with the mist stuff, polish, then wax. Is this a good start for now on a new car that has never been waxed? I'm not gonna clay bar myself I heard it takes some skill, I am gonna pay someone.

The Nissan Dealer actually *gave* me all the products (even Tire Wet *****) for free!!! And a Nissan Driven Logo Polo shirt too!

I have a black track that has 27 miles on it. I just got if you would like to have a showroom car to test out the product. I have yet to apply any kind of wax to it. I am looking now at some of my options this sounds like it would be fun to test.

Don't know if you're looking for someone from NJ to test the product. If so I would be more than glad. I will PM you with your requirements no later than Monday. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
