Getting paint off interior and interior cleaning
I paint apartments and sometimes when I drive home there will be a few small bits of paint left on my hand that come off on my steering wheel, shift **** and other surfaces on the interior panels. What is the best way to get something like this off without ruining the leather/vinyl or plastic?
Also, what is a good product to use on the panels (especially doors) without giving it a blotchy spotty look. I like the products that leave a deep black look with a moderate shine..nothing too wet looking. But if it does the trick, I dont mind, just as long as it looks clean
thanks,
Jon

I had my interior vandalized with spray paint last year. There is a product that I got from Lowe's, it is called Lift-Off. I think it was #3. They have different levels for different things/kinds of stains. I used the one for spray paint on my interior plastic and it worked wonders. It does take a little of the glossy shine off, but some armor all and it came back to life. On my interior doors I still had some paint in the texture, I used a bottle of black Kiwi leather dye, it looks perfect. This is assuming that your trim is black, of course. The Lift-Off removed the paint from my leather, too, but it also removed the dye, after a lot of scrubbing. I then re-dyed the leather with the above leather dye, you can hardly tell any difference.
