I love my CS, but I think it looks best near dusk when the shine is very muted. The look at this time of day reminds me of the amazing show car that was touring with the special $10,000 paint job. After waxing my car recently, I feel its now just too reflective and loses the more appealing aluminum on aluminum effect.

Anyone else feel the same way? If so, is there a method of getting this more muted look consistently with some type of wax or other coating product.

I really love the shine on my CS after 4 coats of Zaino. Zaino does look better on darker colors, but I have noticed that it deepens the CS as well. I would highly recommend Zaino. You will be hooked the first time you drive in rain after you apply it. The water flies off.

I myself don't have a silver car but my neighbor does and I think I know what your talking about. My neighbor thinks I'm nuts because Saturday is my day. My day to play. I spend all day either working on my Jeep or detailing my "Z". My neighbor bought a brand new Altima about oh less than than two months ago. This guy never took care of his previous cars the 6 years I lived next to him. He came by and asked so questions about keeping his car well maintained. I didn't want to yak his ear off so I ask some questions and his answer where like: I don't want to do this every week but I want it well protected to give that I care look.

The first thing that came to my mind was Klasse. I would have recommend him Zanio or another product but I didn't want him to purchase more than $50 of products that he'll probably never touch again. So I gave him the half bottle of Klasse as a gift and lent my PC 7424 to him. He spent the rest of the day cleaning his car.

Later that day he came by and wanted me to take a look at his car. It looked really good and told him he did a nice job. He seemed to be really pleased that he did all the work himself. A week later I'm putting another coat of BF All Finish Paint Protection on when he came by. He said he liked the way his car looked at night but during the day it was too brite. I told him that this was kind of a draw back of Klasse. That since it is a acrylic that it reflects more than attracts light.

I pulled out my "Z" from the garage and showed him how the black paint just shimmers throughout the body of the car. I then washed half of the hood with P21s total auto wash. Applied a cleaner polish then a coat of Klasse. A half hour later I pulled out the "Z" again from the garage in direct sun light. I finally got to show someone the difference of the too products. With Blackfire one side and Klasse on the other.

Their was a big difference in the two sides. He was amazed at the difference and the way one product looked totally different from the other. We later detailed his whole car with the Blackfire products. By the time we finished it was already dark so we couldn't tell a big difference between the to products. The next day I went over to take a look. WOW!!! what a difference. Even when he came out he was a lot happier than before. Blackfire toned down the glare and gave it a nice glow.

Later that week I came home from work during lunch and what do you know he's out there detailing his car with the BF products. He had ordered the whole kit from CMA.

I think if your looking to tone down your car's finish I would recommend at least looking at Blackfire.

So for the long post

My detailing guys call the Klasse shine a "candy coating", as it has a bright wet coating look to it.

I agree with Brad4rdHay on this. It has a finish much like Zaino (in my opinion).

If you want to dull the silver shine a little and still protect it, use a carnauba. It won't have a bright shine like Klasse and Zaino give, and will still give it good protection.
