Default Which buffer to buy?

I have been thinking of getting a Porter Cable buffer to apply wax/polish. I dont have a lot of experience using buffers and was thinking of getting the 7424. Is this a good buffer and does anyone have recomendations?

Oh, come on!!!! You obviously don't know anything about buffers. Yes, there are people that use "high speed" buffers that can do damage, but they have to be run at HIGH SPEEDS.

With the polishes that are available these days, you don't have to use high speeds to get great results. I use a Porter Cable 7424 orbital, and there is no way I can damage the paint with this machine unless I fall asleep while using it.

Using a buffer cuts the time to detail your car dramatically, and you get the same results as doing it by hand. You just have to have the right pads and materials.

Check out Porter Cable Accessories for information on this machine. It really is easy to use.
