Save up for the exhaust man. Its not a mustang so you can't just go welding and sticking parts on without it looking tacky. Just hit it up with soap and water and if you need more shine use some Mothers Metal Polish.

I was going to use some mothers billet polish if it was the right material. i didnt want it to get hot though and fog up as it does on some metals. So mothers is ok?

I figured there might be a tight fitting slip on tip for them lik ethere is for C5s

I DID NOT want to weld anything on there.

Question: Can you get the NISMO catback through a dealer? We sell TRD at toyota.

I have used Mothers metal polish on the tips.... worked great. Don't forget to wax them after polishing.

I've been using Mother's metal/chrome polish.

The stock exhaust tips should be chrome plated T-304 steel (or some similar exhaust steel).

Wrong, use luster lace. Works perfect and is easy. Do a google search on it.

Waxing an exhaust tip is useless....the heat only makes it degrade rapidly.

I use the Eagle 1...but any aluminum/billet polish will work fine on them.

I put Zaino on my whole muffler and tips to help keep water spots from marring the finish. Zaino won't melt like carnauba waxs will.

I just use some Wheel Cleaners that are multisurface safe and use my old lamb wool rage to clean them out. Works beautifully

list of ingrediants to clean really dirty exhuast, careful not to get it on the paint... brake/carb cleaner to loosen it off, wheel cleaner get off the remaining grime with a hard bristle tooth brush and then dawn and water, then meg metal polish, continue applying metal polish for at least 4 coats...

Try Flitz. I think it is the best metal polish I have used.

I use a generic metal polish called Liberty. But of course it does not say concourse or salon on the bottle. About 35 cents/ounce. 16,000 miles on the exhaust above.

I use #000 or #0000 steel wool. Doesn't scratch and gets the gunk off easily.
