Default First car show this sunday...

Ok, I'm entering my car in it's first show this weekend. It's not like a hardcore show which is why I'm entering. I know my car is like nothing compared to a lot of cars on here but in my area, well, the show is going to be mostly older guys with classic cars since it's open to all cars. I'm hoping my class will be quite small.
Anyway, does anybody have any tips or tricks for getting ahead in a show? I know the obvious is to make sure it's clean. This saturday I'm going to spend the better part of the day after lunch detailing the hell out of it(Zaino for life!!11 haha). My biggest worry is getting it to the show without it getting dirty. As it is I'm gonna have to cover it the night before the show because I still don't have a garage door(got mangled in the hurricane). The roads in my area have a lot of sand on them still. I'm gonna have to like, idle about a mile out onto the main road so I don't kick up dirt.

Is there anything peticular judges look for that most people may overlook? Any small things I can do to give myself an advantage?

Thanks in advance!

You need to take a California Duster with you. Once you get there, you can clean the dust that settles on the car from the trip.

Judges look for many things.....
My best advice is to put on a white glove and run it over every little piece of the interiour.... thats how many judges determine the clean aspect of it!
Goodluck!

California Duster and a good detailer to put on it when you get there will make all the difference in the world with the way the exterior looks. I use the duster then apply some Z-8 (Z-6 if you don't have Z-8). Clean the interior good before you go and hopefully it will remain clean. Also clean your wheels again when you get to the show to get off any new brake dust.

I'm going to attempt to use my brakes as little as possible. haha
*crosses fingers for green lights*
I have ceramic pads up front though so I'm thinking as long as I don't hit the brakes too hard I should be fine.
I'll definilty be using a lot of Z-8 before I leave and after I arrive.
I'm going to buy some more MF cloths when I get a chance so I have a healthy supply. And there will be a Meguiars tent set up in case I need last minute micro fiber. A friend of mine is actually being sponsored by them.

One question. My rotors are rusted and the parts that are not contacted by the pads are never cleaned. I've tried WD-40 and can't get this rust to go away. Anyone know how to remove it?

Muchas gracias! I've officially caught the bug...I need a body kit, painted interior panels, fiberglassed sub/amp(planned in near future), and a few other minor things. Of course...I'd love a turbo but cash doesn't permit. Neither do my parents. haha

Good job! Glad you could represent the 350Zs, especially the Daytona Blue ones.
