quick question...
on the zaino web site it says... ": How long do I let the Z-1 and Z-2 Polish, or Z-5 for Swirls, dry before removing it? How do I know it's dry?
A: I recommend waiting a minimum of an hour, since there are actually two coats of material trying to dry on the paint. Also, keep in mind that cool temperatures and high humidity can slow the drying process. If you have access to a garage, you can let Zaino polish dry overnight before removing the residue. This insures that it is completely dry.
The way to tell whether or not the polish is ready to remove is to take your finger and rub a spot. If the polish smears, it isn't dry. If it wipes away cleanly, it's ready to be removed. If you start removing the residue and it is smeary, just stop and wait another half hour and try again. When Zaino polish is dry, it wipes off almost effortlessly."
does this mean after i do z1 and z2 i have to take it off.... or does it mean put on a coat of wax on top... please help i'm really stupid when it comes to car care....

i just read the web site again... and to my knowledge ... i think this is the proper procedure... please tell me if i'm wrong....
1)wash your car with dawn
2)claybar the bad boy with 1/2 cap of z-7 and 12 oz. of water
3)re-wash car with z-7
4)apply z1 of the new zfx accelerator
5)apply z-5 or z-2 on top of z1 or zfx
6)wipe down car with a damp cotton towel
7)wait about 18-24 hours
8)apply z-5 to get out swirls
9)apply z-6 for enhancing the gloss
10)apply z2 for optimal shine
11)repeat apply z2 or z5... z2 for shine and z5 to get out swirls, use z6 inbetween applications of z2 and z5
12)end coat with z2 for the shine
i think that is the break down... someone please tell me if i'm wrong... also... does this mean if i wash my car again in the future i have to do this all over again?
and also... after i wipe of my first coat of z2 or z5 ... i don't have to wipe it off again right... i just apply layers and layers from that point on right?
PLEASE HELP ME ... I'M SO CONFUSED!!

1) OK
2) OK
3) OK. Of course, dry the car, at this point.
4) Apply the Z-1 to the whole car OR, if you are using ZFX, mix the ZFX with either the Z-2 or Z-5 in the supplied mixing containers. Use four drops of ZFX per one ounce of Z-2 or Z-5. No need to get both Z-1 and ZFX. One takes the place of the other.
5) Apply the Z-2 or Z-5 immediately on top of the Z-1, if using that. And as I said in No. 4, the ZFX and polish is mixed together if using ZFX instead of Z-1.
6) Let haze over. If using Z-1/Z-2 or 5, will probably need to wait an hour, maybe more, in northern climates, and you can only put on one coat per day. If using ZFX/Z-2 or 5, by the time you work your way around the car, it's just about ready to remove, it will have been 20 minutes at least. With ZFX/Z-2 or 5, you can apply up to three coats per day.
7) See above.
8) Z-5 will HIDE swirls. There are no abrasives in the Zaino products for the paint. It may take multiple applications of Z-5 to accomplish what you're looking for.
9) Yes.
10) Yes.
11) If you are repeating in the same day, need to be using ZFX. It's not chiseled in stone to use Z-6 between applications of Z-2/5 that day. Your arms may fall off. But you should always end up your session with the Z-6 for maximum slickness.
12) I'd do 1-3 coats of Z-5 one day, then next time do 1-3 coats of Z-2. If you try to do one or two coats of Z-5 and then one coat of Z-2 in a day, you will probably end up wasting product. Hard to judge how much you'll use when just starting out.
The next time you wash your car, just dry, spritz on some Z-6, and you're good to go. The Zaino polish will last six months. And you don't wash again with Dawn. That was just to get the old carnauba wax off so the Zaino gets applied right to the paint.
The next time you apply Z-2/5, you do have to wipe it off. And you don't need to use the Z-1 or the ZFX next time either. But using the ZFX with the Z-2/5, you do get maximum slickness and gloss.
And it does layer. After about ten coats, you probably will see little improvement in shine. It just feels good doing it!
And we're talking thin, thin, THIN here. You should be able to get three coats out of one ounce. However, just starting out, two coats, definitely.
