Did you use shine finish or dull finish wipes?

I don't know about the wipes, but in general, I don't recommend using AA inside the car. It really attracks the dust and it evaporates in the heat of summer and REALLY fogs up the inside of the windows and is next to impossible to get it off.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant and it is GREAT. Nice shine. No dust. No fog.

I have used Black Magic Professional Protectant for a couple of years now. It looks good and last forever. WIth one application, all you have to do is wipe dust off with a rag for the next few months.

Here is a source for 303:

http://www.properautocare.com/303-16.html

Think I picked up the reference from Bonz on another thread.

I don't recommend the 303 for the doors. I tried another product first and it streaked and read the recommendations for 303 so I picked some up. I cleaned the door panels and put on the 303 but it also streaked on the door panels. It's probably fine for the dash but I think I will mainly use it for the tires. I think I will stick to just wiping down the door panels, with no products. There was a thread about Pinnacle vinyl protectant being recommended instead of 303.

The textured door panels seem to absorb the protectants unevenly....

Yeah I second that observation... I've tried the Megulars (sp?) wipes and Vinylex and I still have a somewhat blotchy appearance. Vinylex worked better though than the wipes... the wipes I found to distribute the protectant unevenly.

The rest of the plastic/vinyl though in the car takes the protectant just fine... just not the door panels.

Is the 303 shiny, or flat?

I don't like shiny stuff on the dash, especially. I've been looking for a good flat protectant for awhile.

Another vote for 303 - I use it on my interior and on my tires. Flat finish - not shiny, one reason I like it. ArmorAll is 99% water - after the water evaporates, your dash goes from that shiny-greasy look to a very dull, dry look. No silicon in 303 either.

It is definitely not as shiney as AA. It is actually pretty flat but cleans very nicely. You get the advantage of UV protection too.

Here is another site that sells it at a better price.

303 Aerospace Protectant

If you go to Yahoo and do a search on 303 Aerospace Protectant, you'll see a ton of sites to buy it.

.....For you guys having trouble with 303 on your door panels, you might want to try applying it with a microfiber towel. My results with a cotton terry towel were what you described, but the microfiber works great! No streaking, no lint, and even application! Give it a shot!

I vote for a damp cotton towel. I was never one for shiny dashboards.

Yeah, tried the AA glass wipes they have out now... They do a great job with grease and dirt, but they leave a huge amount of lint that is a pain in the neck to get off.... Just say no!
