color sanding?
one of the local detail shops offers this. would this be a good thing to do in order to get minor scratches out? i have a black z and i have some scratches from a tree limb.
It really depends on how deep the scratches are. If you can feel a scratch with your fingernail, then yes it will take some wet sanding to get it out. If not, polishing compounds can take smaller ones out.
You always want to use the minimum amount of abrasives necessary to get the job done. You don't want somebody sanding your car for swirl marks and fine scratches when a light abrasive polish will do. Sanding will remove a lot of the clearcoat and eventually, the paint.
