How long do I have to wait before I can wash and wax it? I've heard something about having to wait 30 days for the paint to cure before WAXING, but is it ok to just give it a regular wash?

 

I actually just got mine done too. The body shop recommended a max of 90 days before waxing but with modern PPG paints 30 days is usually more than sufficient. you can certainly wash your car but dont use any abrasives or harsh cleaners, and definitely dont use a high pressure spray on it for at least 2 weeks. good luck!

 

You usually only have to wait 2 weeks with better paints. Anything past that is really overkill.

 

Cool, so it will be ok for me to just wash my car with regular Meguiar's car wash soap and mitt? No wax or polish.

 

yep the shops are usually conservative on their time estimates. also depends on type of paint (older solvent vs. new polymers etc). go for it.

 

bought my chrome silver nismo rear spoiler from spoilerdepot and they said i could wax it right away ..asume that it is sitting stock painted ??
