Go to autopia.org and search for it. It is highly praised on that site, if followed by something like P21S Gloss Enhancing Paintwork Cleanser and/or 3M Imperial Hand Glaze.

3m Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009 is a very good product, been using it for years.

Doesn't seem to work by hand. Worked like a charm with a buffer.

I have noticed that as well. 3M products work great by rotary or DA. Using it by hand and forget it!

Yes, it will only work in small areas if you use it by hand, the complete name of the product is 3M Swirl Mark Remover and Foam Pad Polish, the foam pad polish part pretty much tells an experienced guy that it needs to be used with an orbital and a foam bonnett or pad. For small touch up work you might be able to get pretty good results by hand, but if you plan to do the entire car you just about have to have a buffer.
