Default Tire Dressing

I searched this but I could not find exactly what I was looking for.

I bought new wheels and tires and I want to make sure the tires keep looking like new tires for as long as they possibly can. I'm not looking for the "shiniest" tire shine or anything like that. I like a nice satin shine but nothing crazy.

I'd like to get suggestions on a product that will not harm my tires and will keep them looking clean and staying clean. Something I can find at an autozone or pepboys.

I appreciate your help. Thanks in advance

I didn't know I could find Zaino at autozone or pepboys. I've looked for it but never found it...

Is black magic the best at protecting the tires?

There are plenty of tire dressing threads. My suggestion is that you scrub the tires regularly (especially the front) with a stiff brush. That will help then stay looking new.

As I mentioned in my first post I did a search. Most of the information I read pertained to keeping the tires "shiny". That doesn't necessarily mean that it is protecting the tire. I'm looking for a product that is going to protect the tire without harming it (acids and such) and give it a satin type look.

I usually use Maguires stuff.

One thing I found though is no matter how you apply the stuff, it slings up.

I like Mothers Back-to-Black. Gives the tires a deep black look without the fake wet shine.

I appreciate all the help. I ended up going with McGuires High Endurance gel. It looks a little bit shinier than I wanted but the protection should be good.

I also to the advice of scrubbing the tires but not with a metal brush. I used a plastic brush and McGuires car shampoo. Thanks again

Try Megs Hyperdressing. Can be diluted to whatever sheen you want and lasts forever.

aerospace 303 actually protects and has a nice satin finish. Doesn't last long though

I presume the High Endurance gel is the same in the USA and comes with an applicator. If you wish to keep is to a subtle gloss take it easy on the application, don't use too much product and ensure that you haven't left any excess in the grooves on the side of the tyre.
I really like the results Turbo Wax tyre shine gives as you were asking what we use & yes it does protect the tyres.

Thanks for the tips. I might look into Turbo Wax next time I'm in need. The McGuires is really good though. The shine has dulled in the last few days and it looks really nice. Nice staying power...

No Touch. It's so easy to use, doesn't leave a greasy film and it can be found anywhere. All these other products tend to leave a sticky film behind thats hard to clean and has a habit of throwing itself all over the wheelwells/body panels. You can even get it in varying degrees of shine.

The zaino does not sling, it does not leave a film. When its gone it just looks like a new tire. I love it. I really want to try the turbo wax stuff. It looks great.

Turtle wax premium tire shine stays on and keeps tires very shiny for more than a week and doesn't sling any gunk or anything. Great stuff but kinda expensive in my opinion. Really shiny and good.
