I have been doing detailing as a side job for over 15 years. I've tried many, many waxes. Honestly the best wax I've used has been Mequiars #26. It will "richen" up any color, easy to apply(the liquid), and have nothing but praise from my customers! Now this year I purchased Griots "Best of Show" wax. This past Friday I decided to do the "Z". I clayed to get the paint ready for the Griots. Saturday I waxed using a random orbital, and I must say, the finish absolutely gleamed in the sun!! This upcoming weekend I have a customer with a black Jaguar coming for a wax, so we will see how the Griot's works.
Not to diminish the Zymol and Zainos of the world, but you can achieve just as good or better results using products half the price and available at a local shop/other online sites. I guess people like mixing their products and feeling like the "chemical reaction" will do all the work/yield incredible results. Fact is, in the wrong hands, not even the best products work. But in the right hands even the store-bought stuff will work extremely well.
I have tried all these products, and I must say, I always go back to basic elbow grease and a good solid product (polish, glaze, wax/sealant)-not one of these new "sealant" mix-your-own-chemsitry experiment products that cost a fortune.
Again, I'm not trying to diminsh these exotic products, but they really are quite silly in my opinion. Maybe someone who doesn't detail as much as I do would disagree.
The pix in this thread are proof that the "vs your wax" stands on its own pretty well.

I guess I was referring mostly to Zaino, which I have used recently and didn't think it was worth the $. Zymol, however, is usually more expensive than Maguiars, etc, hence the price comment... the fact that it smells real nice is a plus, I guess...

I am somewhat anti-zaino. I hate glazes that contain a bunch of fillers.
My car got. Poorboys SSR 2.5 via PC to remove and swirls from the dealership. Followed once with a coat of Optimum's Opti-Seal and toped with Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax and a coat of Poorboys Natty Paste wax.
