deep scratches lower front bumper
I have picked up some deep scratches on my new 350Z at the bottom and under side of bumper. Should I use a primer before I use the touch up paint?
You "picked them up"? Mine, I got from pulling to close to the curb.
It seems to be practically an initiation fee for people not accustomed to low cars. Kind of like not being used to rims that stick out beyond the rubber tires.
Since the bumper isn't metal and it was already roughed up, I didn't use primer. On mine it wasn't really visible though unless you searched for it. Now that a deer caused the front end to be replaced, I have a reprieve on having a perfect bumper.
Experiment with touch-up techniques, and find one that works for you. My first coat is white Rustoleum Appliance Touch-up Paint. Followed by white Nissan touch up paint.
You just have to find something that works best for you.

i want some aftermarket rims...
Underside of mine is all scratched up, as is a large amount of other Z's I'd assume. Like everyone said above, its kind of a requirement of the learning process when moving to a low car.
When I get my front lip it'll cover them up....then I'm going to try my hardest to not scratch it, except I'll be even lower to the ground haha
