any good elastic clay will do,
I picked up some Jeff Werkstatt stuff along with some Surf City Garage to try out this season, as soon as the weather breaks I will be using these products for the first time. Also have been hearing alot about the Deep Finish line, looking to try that this yaer as well.
Get your zaino out of this thread. He said "GOOD" detailing products. I like the rest of your list though Let us know how the werkstatt products are Ive heard good things.

Where did you order from to get the 20% off? Are you talking about detailimage.com?

Whats your issue with Zaino?
And why would you be interested in the Werkstat line, its the same type of acrylic polymer sealant that Zaino uses and its a system also like Zaino.
If you dont like a particular product than fine but at least give a reason other
than bashing a product without explanation. What do you use?
There is no need to **** on anyones choices!

I'm a Meguiar's guy . As with automotive paints, I stick w/ one mfg's products as I know it will optimize the results (I'm not a chemist & don't have time/$ to experiment with mixing products, tho' I've got no bones w/ those that do, I've just learned the hard way a couple of times w/ paint ...).

I also like the fact that Meguiar's is huge in OE and pro-grade products, and that knowledge/experience spills into their consumer lines. I use:
Gold Class Wash using the 2 bucket method
Meguiars Clay kit
M105 Ultra Cut Compound for swirls (I use a DA w/ 8006 pad, although it's not recommended)
NXT Tech Wax 2.0 (AWESOME STUFF!)
Ultimate Quik Detailer in between washes (again, AWESOME STUFF!)
Aluminum Wheel Cleaner (NISMO LM GT4 19's)
Endurance Gold Class Tire Gel
Dry & detail w/ Meg's Water Magnet & Supreme Shine MF towels (prevents swirls)

Meguiar's has a great user website - http://www.meguiarsonline.com/. I've learned a ton there.

I'll try to get some pics posted of my ZR this weekend.

hahahah I was kidding zainos "ok" it doesnt seem to offer any real protection has a gay poppy shine and takes a bizzilion layers to look decent. Their whole marketing scheme of removes swirls is crap, it fills them in, adds a mile deep shine? haha its all about surface prep. I use whatever I like menzerna polishs I use pinnacle souveran and now signature series 2 on my new goat and I like it. Im a carnuba guy, until zaino has a layer of carnuba over it I dont like it. The klasse twins are much better than zaino IMHO. The ultima spray sealant when matched with there detail spray looks promising. Im going to pick almost anything over zaino mainly because it has a cult like following of corvettes guys.

I tried some new products today,
griots mf-ok
griots polishs 3/2- 2 is not as good as menzerna sip and dusts alot more. 3 is a decent finish to it but menzerna 106 has a better finish. Griots are very user friendly though, they take no time to break down and are super easy to wipe off.
Griots wheel cleaner- I love it
Griots speed shine- Seems alright havnt used it enough to tell.
Griots spray wax- Leaves a nice clean shine to it, kind of spray sealant ish but nice and smooth/ glossy
Griots polishing pad- Soft right in between lk orange and white, a good solid pad, almost too soft for what its intented purpose is. I think griots only polishing pad is the orange one but I like it and will use it exclusively for griots polishs on my pc too small for my flex.
Griots wax pad-seems decent enough no real use yet.
Griots interior cleaner-Good stuff
Pinnacle signature series II-Love it looks great on silvers
Jeff werkstatt shampoo-love it

All but the pinnacle and jeff stuff where tried on a black lincoln navigator today, turned out pretty good. I was happy with it, but wish I wouldve brought the flex so it wouldve been a quicker job. Atleast I got 2 other paying details out of the navi detail a black mercades and a red mercades. Thats all of the night, going to try out the griots wash mitt and actual wax on my goat tomorrow and use the red waxing pad, maybe try out there sealant as well. I found out i can drive like half of a mile and pick up griots products.

I love Pinnacle Sig II. Its a great wax for light colors (silver, white, etc). For $20.00 it a great product.

Anyone use Sonus products? I'm about to order some soon because I heard they were better suited for the PC than Optimum products were.

Sonus products are pretty good. Their polishes are decent but not as good as Optimum IMO.

I love my Zaino products because I haven't used anything else on my Z...however after I read superblack350z thread on how to properly wash and detail a car, I think I'll experiment on my civic with the same stuff he uses and see how she comes out...mind you the civic is my dd and hasn't been washed since summer August of 07 so this should be a good comparison
