NU Finish
I was at the car wash last night, and I was talking to a kid who did an excellent job on his black car. He said all he used was a little dial soap, and orange cleaner with the car wash soap.
To detail it he said he used NU Finish scratch remover, washed the car, then NU Finish wax and I have to say it looked great.
I have a feeling he left out a process or something.
He actually said he used the scratch remover, then washed the car, but I thought he may have said it backward. I can not beleive you can use the scratch remover on a dirty car, then wash it then wax.
What are your opinions on this.... as well as adding a little Dial Soap and Orange cleaner to the wash bucket?
As well as NU Finish Products

From what Ive heard nu finish is crap is filled with fillers and anything that makes it looks good washs away. If you want a good looking car pay a professional or learn to do it yourself.

I have never used the NU finish products before so i dont know but for the Dial soap and the Orange cleaner they both have de-greasing agents in them and if your using them to wash your car your taking wax of the car. Use a good car wash soap. And I would say he got that backwards about taking out the scratches and then washing it. If your buffing our scratches before you wash your car your buffing all the small dirt and road grime particles into the paint work.
Nu Finish is a good cleaner-wax but there are better choices:

I use some potent soap solution to wash "parts" of the car. A 50/50 solution of Mr. Clean/water in a spray bottle. Rinse car. Spray along bottom, exhaust and front wheels. Wash as usual.

As for me, I don't care for Nu-Finish. It's pretty old technology ("rocks-in-a-bottle") and does have a lot of fillers
