Default Noah cover from Wolf $175

After two OEM covers I thought I would try something new.

This is made from a multi-layer waffle material. Soft on both sides and feels like a sponge.

A couple of things that I do not like:

a. No pouch for the antenna. As per the instructions, burned a hole in it with a soldering iron.

b. No clear window in the back for the licence plate. I park on the street, and this may be a problem.

We’ll see how it does in the rain, and holds up to sun damage.

What were the problems you had with the OEM covers that prompted you to switch?

THe OEM cover lasts about 24 months before ultra violet radiation deteriorates the material.

Nice.

I've got the Wolf Evolution material cover and it held up very well to sunny SoCal weather for over 2 years. And I've had it on the car during some pretty good rainstorms, too. Held up quite well through the rain and didn't let much moisture in.

As for the two dislikes:
1. Instead of burning a hole in the cover, I opted to remove the antenna each time the cover was put on.

2. The license plate is a problem but some areas allow you to write the license plate number on the cover (rattle can?). Just not sure if that's an option for you.

Do you really park in the streets? Do you not have any space/or driveway?

I had one for the Maxima and hated it especially when it rained! It soaks water in. I ended up throwing it away!

After using the cover for 3 months here is my critique:

Soft: Material is soft both inside and out. Surface scuffing is unnoticeable.

Water Repellant: Excellent. After a day long storm water under the cover was barely noticeable.

Disadvantage: A wet cover is heavy. If you roll the cover wet, and store it in the back, it will be wet when unrolled. About an hour on the car in the sun dries it completely.

Overall rating: Two thumbs up.

I just bought a brand new oem cover, for when i go away for a few weeks on work trips. My car will be parked in a parking garage, so im not going to have to worry about the rain :P. The OEM cover will look badass as when I put it on. It has Nissan Z written on the hood.

Thumbs up 16 month followup:

After 16 months and several washings, the Noah cover is holding up well.

I made an inexpensive tie down from

an adjustable carrying bag strap
and bungee cord.

Let out the strap and toss under car. Connect and tighten. The tension on the bungee cord holds the cover in place.

Looks as if they now offer the Noah version with an antenna pouch. There's so many variations...Noah, WeatherShield, Evolution, etc.

quick question bc i didnt have my oem car cover long enough to know, but what type of damage does the process of condensation in a nonbreathable fabric cause on the car? and do i have cause for concern with my oem cover since im planning to leave it outside during rain and heavy snow?

Why did you burn the hole for the antenna? I just unscrew it and toss it onto the driver's seat before every time I put my cover on.

None. A good cover is permeable and will breathe.
