Default Paint thickness

I have a 2007 350Z. I am going to get it detailed and the person doing the detailing checked the thickness of the paint and it was 3.5. Does anybody know if this an acceptable measurement within the norm's.

It would prolly take ten years of polishing your car to get thru the clear........and thats polishing 3 times a year. This also with very moderate polishing.
