Default clay bar and clear coat

this weekend i am going to wash with dawn, then clay bar, then use z5, z2, then z6. how does this sound? i also got the zfx stuff so i dont have to wait. will the clay bar hurt the clear coat on the car at all?

Nope. Won't hurt it at all. Just use a good amount of lube for the clay. I use Zaino's Z-7 carwash as a lube but if you are starting from scratch, I'd use a dilute solution of water and Dawn dishwashing liquid.

Absolutely not! Started on 15 August doing exactly what you are going to do! To date following claying, have applied Z5 (4 times) and Z2 (6 times). Called Sal today asking about Z2. Was using 1 ounce of Z2 w/ZFX per application. He said I was "wasting"! He gets 3 application of Z2 w/ZFX on a "Z". Tonight I was able to get 2 w/1 ounce. He right, if done properly, you can hardly see the Z2 on the car.
