spray detailer on uncured paint?

I think any wax is a no-no. Just wait out the 6 weeks and use a quality car shampoo. Thats my plan when I get my bumper replaced.. some pole-smoker hit it w/ a carriage or car in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Lucky for him I wasn't around to witness the tragedy.

Modern base coat/clear coat paints applied correctly dry much, much faster and cure faster than 6+ weeks. In the old days of single stage paints the paint had to out gas for the solvents to be released in order to cure. Base coat/clear coats are dried and cured with chemical hardeners added to the paints during mixing, if the base did not have something to make it cure it never would as it is sealed from air by the clear coat. I have applied Zaino in less than a week on new paint with no problems. Modern paints are just much better in curing and durability than even paints 5 or 10 years ago.

I paint computer cases as a hobbie. Mostly high gloss mirror finish automotive black paint jobs. You can wax as soon as 2 weeks, but I have noticed that you will almost guarantee swirls if you don't wait 6 weeks. I personally wait 2 months.
