Default Towels??

On Zaino's Tips, it said to use 100% cotton towels cause the cheaper ones has nylon blended in it which can cause fine scratches.
But isn't Microfiber towels pretty much all nylon? (with other blend)

So, if small amount of nylon causes some fine scratches, wouldn't a bunch of nylon cause a bunch of fine scratches????

I can't shed light on the micro-fibre question, but if you are looking for towels for Zaino (as I was a few weeks ago), I can offer the following.

I went to a Robinsons's May, and they had a table with blems. Their top-of-line Fieldcrest towels normally like $19 were $6, because the edges weren't sewn perfectly straight.

Second suggesstion is to maybe not go with the largest towel like Zaino recommends. Not to save cost, but it's a pain to keep those huge towels from dragging on the ground when you are working the lower areas of the car.

I use microfibre towels for applying the Z6. I've probably got a zillion invisible micro-scratches on my car...but since they are invisible...

If you are looking for some GREAT towels for applying and removing ALL your Zaino stuff look at (www.dftowel.com). Costly, but excellent. Three sizes and the larger towel doesn't have that drag problem on the garage floor.

I am a distributor for the www.dftowel.com The DF towel is a natural cellulose fiber towel, no man made materials.

The trouble with polyester and nylon micro fiber towels is that some tend to scratch and some do not, some are not intended for auto use but more for home use.

Thd DF towel is intended mainly for fine paint surfaces. I stock the medium size towel as it seems to be the best size for Z-6 and wiping off the Zaino polishes.

As I said in my previous post, the DF towels are GREAT. I am using the large for removing Z5 and Z2. Also use it for Z6. Find it nice to fold, spray the Z6 on the towel and use the other side to buff. Using the small to apply Z5 and Z2. Work a lot better than the applicator!

Each time I see a link to the DF towel site, I go there, and I search for a picture of the towel. The only picture I see is the very poor one on the front page, and it looks just like any towel on the discount rack at WalMart. I would think that if DF is real proud of the towel they would take some real nice looking close-up pics of it.

Just a suggesstion.

I will agree! But I am now wishing I had heard of DF Towels prior to buying all these 100% Cotton Towels. Unfortunately, Foley's was having one great sale. Large bath towels with edges trimmed and cut in half now don't get much use. Again, costly by "No Swirls". Still recommend the large for Z5, Z2 and Z6, medium in the car for emergencies and small for applying Z2 and Z5. Your post reminds me to order two more large. I wonder if Doc Bonz has tried?

Actually the new shopping cart that will be up and running this weekend will include some close-ups of the fabric with the binding and loop. One reason why we never had any real close-ups was that you really can't tell anything about a towel from a close-up, you need to read all about it, look at the testimonials and try it for yourself.

I have only been a distributor for DF towels for a little while but I am 99% sure they would never be sold in retail stores, too specialized a product. ..

This is just an observation from using Z6. Microfiber towels are great for drying the car, and OK for applying/removing Z6. I find a big cotton towel is better for applying/removing Z6.
Z6 is to be sprayed on a 1 foot area and wiped off. The microfiber picks it up quick, too quick. I get better area coverage with a regular cotton towel. With the microfiber, I can only do the area I sprayed, but with a cotton I can work it out to 1.5 - 2 foot area cause it doesn't soak up the Z6 as fast.

You have a CS, dont sweat it too hard. I've seen some CS cars that have been wiped down with regular bath towels. The swirls were VERY hard to see. I use turtle wax diaper soft clothes from Parts America

Don't think there is a "group buy", but dftowel.com is now offering a 5% discount to my350Z.com members. Just put 350Z in the "code" area. They are the "Greatest"! Wish now I had not cut up all those 100% cotton towels.

The DF towel IS a micro fiber towel, micro fiber does not have to be polyester and nylon like all the others, Leo explains all of this stuff on his web site...

I have a stack of DF Towels, but could always use a few more. Leo is also coming up soon, if not already, an applicator.

*chant*Group Buy*chant*

I use microfiber towels, they work good, but they catch too much stuff in the air that can scratch the car, trust me I found out with experience. But last year I bought a 20 pack of 100% Cotton towels for $3 at Wally World that worked really great. I haven't seen them there though in awhile.

I bought some 100% cotton towels at Sam's. Didn't enjoy the "swirls"! Got some 100% cotton towels and Dillard's. Also had "swirls"! Can't say that since I started using the DF Towel.
