What is your favorite cleaner for your chrome exhaust and wheels?

Forget the best, how about any

How are you guys cleaning the chrome tips? Mine are starting to stain near the bottom, and I haven't come across any cleaner that I'd like to 'test' on them.

Spiffy recommends "Meguiars Gold Class All Metal Restorer". Does anyone have any experience with this?

you can get metal polish I think will work.

I personally jsut use soap and water to clean the exhaust inside and out, the inside isnt perfect of course, but its not black either.

I dont have chrome rims, so Ive never used metal polish on them. be careful that whatever you use isnt too harsh or it might hurt the finish.

I use auto glass cleaner on my chrome wheels, not sure what the brand is, but it shines them up real nice.

P21S has an all purpose surface cleaner that works really good. Also, Wenol Blue (red is abrasive). Both are in a tube like toothpaste.

Try Semi Chrome....great product from germany, comes in a tube like toothpaste. You can find it in almost any Motercycle shop. That's how they get their motercycle pipes so shiny!!!

Clean them with what has already been recommended in this thread. (To get off any nasty thick crap) After that clean them again with windex and paper towels. I did this with chrome rims, nothing beats it.

Just about any kind of metal polish, Meguiars, Mothers, Blue Magic, Wenol, etc. will be fine to use to polish up the tips...

Myth buster used Coca Cola and aluminum foil. Cleaned it better than chrome polish.

the best stuff I know of is WENOL (from Germany) a bit pricey, but phenomenal- put on with cotton cloth, buff a bit, then polish with clean cloth.
Mother's is also good, and a lot cheaper.

I've had a bottle of Turtle chrome polish for years. Has a mild abrasive to get the rust that shows through. It can't hurt the chrome. Also leaves a protective coating that makes it easier the next time.
My bottle dried out so I just added a little ammonia, which is one of the active ingredients in the polish.
Keeps my pipes looking sweet!

Never Dull works like magic on my exhusat tip. And the best thing is you could buy it at pepboy or autozone for about 4 to 5 bucks only.
