This past Wednesday marked my one year aniversary for Z ownership. I took delivery of my car on 9/24/02 and I have now been the proud owner of my Z for just over a year.

I made a 550 mile round trip to a conference this weekend and with it, crossed the 7000 mile mark on the odo as well.

These two events may seem big for any Z owner, but they PALE in comparison to another event that was celebrated today.

Early this morning the Doctor slapped on and buffed off his 50th LAYER OF ZAINO!!!

That's right, I am the first and only member of the GOLDEN LAYER CLUB!!! As always, I am SO PROUD!

that's a lot of Wax....do you have 50 layers of Zaino on your car, or have you "Zaino'ed" it 50 times?...either way i think it's the shiniest Z i ever saw

I have 50 LAYERS of either Z-2 or Z-5. Z-6 doesn't count.

BTW, it isn't "wax". It's a "polymer sealant"

I use Zaino's Tire Dressing. Works great.

One question about that, if you get 50 layers on now, does it get to the point where all of the swirl marks/imperfections will be occuring in the layers of zaino as opposed to the paint/clearcoat?

 

Is it just me or does the car wash smell like Hawaiian Punch and Z-5 smells really good as well?

 

It's not just you, fanatic! That stuff smells great!

 

i agree. I keep sniffing my car for about an hour after every wash. I also pour a bit of Z5 on my handkerchief every morning.
