its mainly the salt from the roads during the winter thatll cause rust.. so like already said garage it in the winter and buy a cheap beater would be your best option but it'll still get some salt following the month or 2 after winter.. just go through an automatic car wash a couple times

If you truly love your Z... Never drive it threw an automatic car wash.. sheesh..
wash it at home using low pressure.. mild car washing detergent.. and a microfiber cloth
